Hughes Communications is the world leader on providing network services and satellite communications technology. Headquartered in Germantown - MD, USA, Hughes has customers in more than 100 countries and to support them has subsidiaries in Brazil, India, China and Europe. In order to improve their operations in Brazil and the region, Hughes built two gateways, the main site installed in João Pessoa - PB and the diversity site in Goiana - PE, both with 8.1m antennas in Ka band.
To implement this ambitious project, Hughes needed a partner with a wide range of services, extreme technical skills and a proven delivery capacity. MASTER for years was the Hughes' partner for repair, design and installation services and received the task to bring this project to life. For almost 12 months MASTER performed several services on the sites, between them: Site survey, Soil analysis, calculation of foundation design, making the concrete base + stakes; implementation of mat and lightning rod system; implementation of infrastructure and diversity via optical fiber; support the antenna mounting and local logistics; property security on both sites. In addition, after implantation, MASTER still provides continuous preventive and corrective maintenance services 24x7.
